Yumori Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Yumori app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Yumori Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Yumori Is
Yumori is a nutrition-tracking app. It estimates the nutritional content of meals from photos, voice descriptions, text, and barcodes using artificial intelligence, and lets you track meals, water, weight, activity, and fasting on your device.
All nutrition values produced by Yumori are estimates. They are generated by AI models and food databases and can be wrong, sometimes significantly. You are responsible for verifying any value you rely on.
3. Not Medical Advice
Yumori is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See the Yumori Medical Disclaimer for details. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet or health, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or manage a condition (such as diabetes) that depends on accurate nutrition data.
4. Your Account and Your Data
You may use Yumori without creating an account. Meal history and personal data are stored locally on your device. If you sign in, your meal history can be backed up so it can be restored across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and account credentials secure.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
- Yumori offers an optional paid subscription ("Yumori Premium") with higher usage limits and an ad-free experience.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple App Store account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's store subscription settings (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or App Store → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Where a free trial is offered, the subscription begins charging when the trial ends unless cancelled first.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their respective policies; Yumori cannot issue store refunds directly.
- If you subscribed on another device, use "Restore Purchases" in the app to re-activate Premium.
6. Free Tier and Ads
The free tier has daily usage limits on AI analysis. Free users may be shown ads where permitted by their consent choices. Ad personalization is governed by your consent selections and the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt or overload the analysis backend, reverse-engineer service protections, use the service to build a competing dataset, or submit content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.
8. Intellectual Property
The Yumori app, brand, and content are owned by the Yumori publisher and its licensors. These terms do not grant you any right to use the Yumori name or branding. You keep ownership of the photos, recordings, and text you submit; you grant us the limited right to process them to provide the analysis service.
9. Availability and Changes to the Service
AI analysis requires an internet connection and depends on third-party services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of nutrition estimates, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Yumori publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make in reliance on nutrition estimates. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or on the Yumori website before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
