Delete Your Yumori Account
This page explains how to delete your Yumori account and the data associated with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or ask us to do it by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Yumori on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account & data.
- Confirm when prompted.
That is the whole process. You do not need to send an email, fill in a form, or contact us in any way.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the app — for example because you have already uninstalled it — email support@yumori.app and ask us to delete your account. Because Yumori does not require you to register with a name or an email address, we may need to ask you for information from your app installation in order to identify which records are yours.
What is deleted
- Your Firebase Authentication record, including any email address held there if you chose the optional sign-in with Google, Apple, or an email address and password.
- Your server-side usage counters in Firestore — the daily and lifetime scan and insight counts, the rewarded-ad records, and the subscription entitlement mirror.
- All Yumori data stored locally on your device — meal history, favorites, weight, water, activity, fasting, your profile, and your preferences.
What is not deleted
- Encrypted backup files you have already exported out of the app. If you created a backup from Settings → Backup & Restore and saved it to your device or to a cloud storage app, that file belongs to you and we have no access to it — we cannot see it, read it, or delete it. Delete it yourself wherever you saved it.
Retention
There is no additional retention period. Your server-side records are removed when the request is processed; they are not held for a waiting period first.
One marker is kept by design: a deletion record identified by a one-way hash of your account identifier, together with the time of deletion. It contains no readable identifier and no content from your account. It exists so that a request arriving after your deletion is refused instead of silently recreating your data.
